Here for you during these difficult times

We are so proud of our staff teams and the amazing work they do, each and every day to support people to maintain their independence, enjoy life and fulfil their potential. At this time they are working tirelessly to ensure our customers’ health and wellbeing is paramount, whilst dealing with the concerns and challenges that every member of our society is facing right now.

Following the announcements by the Prime Minister on Monday, we have regularly been asked if we are still open. The answer is yes, we are continuing to provide a service and will keep doing so, whilst ensuring we comply with Government guidance and protect both customers and staff as best we can.

As you will know Optalis provide a range of services, in a range of locations, to people with different needs. At this time, we are continuing to support people to live fuller and better lives, with a particular focus on keeping people safe. The care and support we provide spans a variety of settings in the home and community, including social work, day care, reablement support and residential care.

We are closely monitoring our services to ensure they are in a position to provide safe and effective support. Where needed, we are having to adapt our approach and service delivery. For instance, some staff members are temporarily moving across and into other services to ensure we have a safe level of staffing to continue to provide responsive support to the people in our care.

As part of Optalis’ response to coronavirus (Covid-19) we would like to reassure you that we are doing and will continue to do all we can to make sure people are cared for and supported at this time. Our organisation is fortunate to be able to respond in an agile and effective manner. With the benefit of extensive social care experience throughout our teams we are in a good position to continue to change, adapt and meet the challenge that awaits us.

Yours Sincerely

David Birch - CEO Optalis
