Optalis is looking for flexible Support Workers to join their Mokattam service; a 6 room residential house for working age adults living with learning and/or physical disabilities based in Maidenhead. We are looking for flexible staff that can cover full-time, part-time and casual hours providing person-centred care to the individuals living in the house. The main duties within the house will be to assist with domestic and personal tasks, promote a healthy life style to the individuals you work with and to provide support to access the community/activities outside the house. The working shifts are usually 7am – 3pm or 2pm-10pm, with some waking nights available. We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic support workers to work in our unique Independent Living Service (ILS) supporting people with Learning Disabilities who live in their own home. We have services in Wokingham, Winnersh and Ryeish Green. For this role you need to be a car driver with use of a vehicle, and some houses have a manual transmission ‘house vehicle’ which you may be required to drive. You need to be creative especially in the use public transport in order to support our customers with their daily needs. The hours for this role can vary depending on the customers care packages, but tend to start from 7am-3pm or 3pm-10pm (full-time support workers will have to be available for at least one sleep in every 7-10days, depending on the service). You will receive a comprehensive induction and on-going training programme, as well as regular supervision to ensure you are fully equipped to support our customers. You will also have the support of a Registered Manager and large staff team including Deputy Managers and Senior Support Workers. Out & About is a unique and expanding service, providing day, evening and weekend opportunities for adults with a learning disability to access community activities. Our focus is in organising day trips to places of interest, such as the coast, theme parks, swimming, and much more.  As well, it offers 1:1 outreach support during week days, and specialises in finding appropriate activities for those adults who prefer not to attend traditional day service activities. 

We are seeking 2 new enthusiastic Senior Support Workers to join our team of dedicated staff. If you are able to work independently, using your own initiative and able to manage challenging situations, then this could be the role for you.  Ideally, you would have one year’s experience of supporting vulnerable adults in the community but this is not essential. You should have particular skills in motivating others. A significant requirement of the role will be promoting independence, social inclusion, as well as providing care and support to our client group.

This role requires you to be flexible to the needs of the service, taking on an appropriate level of responsibility, including working week days, evenings & weekends as required.

We are looking for a qualified social worker, with ideally at least two years of experience, to work within a busy and dynamic team based in the centre of Wokingham. Your role will include completing re-assessments of need under the Care Act for adults with a variety of disabilities and needs. Are you interested in working as a Rehabilitation Care Assistant (RCA) supporting residents in their own environment? The Short Term Support and Rehab (STR&R) service provides this unique service via Optalis and in partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council. The Short Term Support and Rehabilitation Team are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic, friendly, fast paced team

The Short Term Support and Rehabilitation team is an Optalis intermediate care service providing short term interventions of up to 6 weeks, to promote independence to residents in their own homes across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Key criteria’s are preventing acute hospital admissions, facilitating a timely discharge and end of life care in the community.

The service comprises of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Care Assistants, Coordinators, Duty Officers and an overnight service 24 hours a day 365 days per year. 

Within the intermediate care service sits a ‘Keep Safe Stay Well’ service and a Dementia Care Advice Service.

This is a busy service, focused on providing timely rehabilitation goals to achieve maximum independence for the service user.

  • The post holder must have current HCPC registration and a right to work in the UK
  • We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join our multi- disciplinary team to provide person centred assessment and interventions in the community and to deliver rehabilitation in Service users homes.
