How do we work?

Our approach is all about putting people first. We listen closely to what people want and encourage everyone to take an active role in shaping what we we do each day from helping plan activities to thinking of places to visit or simply sharing ideas.

These are just a few of the things people get involved in:

  • Games and quizzes
  • Seated exercise
  • Arts and crafts
  • Gardening
  • Cooking
  • Photography
  • Rebound therapy
  • Trips to local attractions
  • Word puzzles
Word puzzles

We have a large and fully accessible garden that offers individuals the opportunity to relax and enjoy a bit of fresh air or do some gardening.

We also have an exercise area which gives people access to a range of equipment to help maintain fitness and mobility. We will support people with any physio plans they may have.

Cooking

We have always received such a kind and friendly welcome as a whole family to Westmead. You have all been so accommodating and flexible in meeting (my husband’s) needs and he really enjoys his cooking with you.
