Optalis celebrates 6th birthday

Since being established by Wokingham Borough Council in 2011 to provide adult social care and support for the Borough, Optalis has gone from strength to strength. The company now provides services across the Thames Valley, in Windsor & Maidenhead, Bracknell, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Wokingham.

As a result of this incredible growth and our focus on excellent quality for our customers, Optalis is now recruiting more people.

Optalis aims to match the requirements of customers to the experiences, interests and personality of their care and support worker. This person-centred approach makes a real difference to the quality of care that customers receive. “We have a system to match compatibility of customers to support staff which works well,” says Gemma Lacy, Learning and Development Co-ordinator. “Regular meetings and close contact with customers and their families enable them to provide personalised care that adapts to the changing needs of the client.”

With the opening of two new Extra Care services in Woodley, Optalis is looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our team who are interested in a rewarding and extremely flexible career. We offer full training so experience is not necessary but people may have had personal experience such as looking after a loved one.

Mette Le Jakobsen, Managing Director of Optalis said, “It has been a very exciting six years for us, and thanks to our fantastic team demand for our services continues to be very high. I can’t wait for the next six years!”
