New MD for Optalis

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mette Le Jakobsen to the role of Optalis Managing Director.

As Managing Director Mette will be responsible for leading the company’s overall operational and commercial strategy, working closely with the senior management team and the Optalis Board. Mette has held various senior roles with Optalis since its launch in 2011, and is a leading expert on the LATC model and outsourced social work and occupational therapy.

With a background in adult social care and a qualified social worker, Mette has previously held a number of senior positions within local authority and NHS organisations, including commissioning, provision, and service development, alongside work for the Department of Health, specialising in Self-Directed Support.

Stuart Rowbotham, Wokingham Borough Council's Director for Health and Wellbeing stated, “Mette’s appointment confirms that Optalis’ first priority is the safety and wellbeing of our most vulnerable residents. Mette’s profound understanding of the social care sector and her proven desire to work collaboratively with the Council will ensure a truly successful partnership”.

Optalis Chairman Anthony Pollock said, “I am delighted to announce the unanimous decision to appoint Mette Le Jakobsen as Managing Director of Optalis with immediate effect. I would like to congratulate Mette in her successful appointment, and look forward to our continued progress as a leading care provider.”
