Multicultural Celebration at Hollies

Staff and residents at the Hollies recently came together for a multicultural celebration. The day was a chance to recognise the diversity within the team and to learn more about one another.

The team shared facts about their different countries of origin and what makes each culture special. The celebration then continued with singing, dancing and food from around the world. For residents, it was also an opportunity to see the staff who support them wearing traditional clothes.

Bhoomi, Dignity Champion at Hollies, reflected:
"Our Diversity Day at Hollies Care Home was a very happy and special day. It gave us the chance to respect and celebrate each other’s cultures, while promoting dignity and inclusion. Everyone brought food from their own culture, we shared stories and asked questions about different traditions. For me the best part of the day was seeing the people we support smiling, dancing and enjoying themselves."
