Community Lives enjoys a Great Day out!

Customers from our Community Lives services in Boyn Grove and Oakbridge were given free tickets to visit Legoland Windsor. Legoland is near both our services and caters to all ages and abilities. It is also well-equipped for those with additional needs with a fully-equipped Changing Place and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

‘ I really enjoyed going to the park with my friends, we had a great time going on the rides. It was fun.’

Jade (Oakbridge)

It was a DOUBLE ‘thumbs up’ from

Jeremy and Emma (Oakbridge)

‘I really enjoyed it and want to go back again to show other people (that support me) how much fun it is and how much I enjoyed myself.’

Nosheen (Boyn)

‘It was great to go somewhere new and be with his friends that I hadn’t seen for a long time.’

Adham (Boyn)

Our team members describe their experience of visiting the attraction:

‘We were very fortunate to be able to take our customers with learning disabilities and special needs to Legoland for the day. From when we arrived to when we left, we could not fault the staff, they were extremely attentive and supportive with us getting our customers onto the appropriate rides and ensuring that we knew they were available if we needed them.

One staff member was extremely helpful in helping our customer onto a ride who was in a wheelchair and did not make us feel rushed or that we were being an inconvenience. The disabled toilets and accessible toilets were very clean, spacious and well equipped to meet all the required needs.

Overall we all had a fabulous day and our customers' smiles say it all, a huge ‘Thank You’ to Legoland and we hope to be able to access some more rides in the future.’
