Celebrating 12 Years of ACE@Optalis

This year marks the 12th anniversary of ACE@Optalis, our specialist employability programme run in partnership with Activate Learning. The course supports young people with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to progress towards employment.

The success of ACE@Optalis is built on a combination of practical work experience, high-quality training, employer engagement, and tailored support. Through the programme, students develop valuable real-world skills while exploring their strengths, interests, and future career aspirations.

Donna Morgans, Head of Supported Employment, said: "As we celebrate this milestone, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all Optalis staff and our many employer partners across Berkshire and beyond, who have opened their workplaces, offered work experience placements, created employment opportunities, and championed inclusive employment for our students.

Their commitment, encouragement, and belief in the potential of young people have been instrumental in helping students gain the skills, confidence, and experience needed to progress towards employment.

Most importantly, I would like to recognise our dedicated Employment Coaches, whose commitment, expertise, and unwavering support have helped make ACE@Optalis the success it is today."
