Well the summer is nearly at an end and before we know it the festive season will be upon us... With the changing season there have also been quite a few changes in staffing within the Homecare and START teams.
We will be losing a very much loved and respected Reablement Assistant who has been with Optalis for 7 years, but we are so pleased and proud that she feels working with Optalis has given her the experience, knowledge and confidence to go forward and try something new. Whatever she does, we know that she will give it a 100% and be as successful as she has been a great asset to the START Team.
We are also losing one of our excellent Seniors from the Homecare Team who is going to try something completely different but at Optalis we never shut the door on good staff as they are the backbone of our service and whilst they may leave and dip their toe into other jobs or companies they know that returning to Optalis is always an option whether in the same service or one of the many other divisions we operate. And our Senior knows she has left and come back previously and worked in different services which has only enhanced her knowledge and skill set...
On the flip side of this we have a very familiar and popular Reablement Assistant coming back into the fold, and we are extremely pleased to welcome him back and hope he will continue to grow and develop under the Optalis umbrella.

Just ask our HR Recruitment Co-ordinator who started her career in the Homecare Team as a carer and quickly discovered her love and passion for the Social Care and the job she was doing. It didn’t take long for the Manager of the service to recognise her potential and promotions followed quickly. After 5 years of hard work and dedication an opportunity arose in the Head Office which was completely different to anything she had previously done, but with the support and guidance of the HR Manager she embraced her new role and is going from strength to strength.
