Where is the service and what is it like?
Westmead is a Day Service providing a weekday service to people with physical disabilities or long term health conditions who need support with rehabilitation, physio or keeping active. We also encourage maintaining independence and wellbeing.
The Westmead Service is located close to Wokingham Town Centre on Rances Lane.
The Service is open 9.00 to 3.30 five days a week. You can attend as little or as many times as you wish, or your personal budget allows.
What can I do at the Service?
A whole range of activities are available - cooking, woodwork, arts and crafts, swimming, sports and dance. There are regular day trips on offer visiting places or interest or accessing the local facilities.
We have a fantastic rehabilitation service where trained staff can support your physio programme to maintain and develop your mobility. We have access to:
- Standing Frame
- Moto Med Bikes
- Tilt table
- Our newest physio activity is 'Rebound Therapy' where trained staff work with customers on a full size trampoline to offer therapeutic support and fun. Find out more here.
Westmead is a sociable, friendly environment which has a 'can do' ethos and welcomes everyone.
