Optalis supports four Extra Care Homes for older people, and people with dementia:in Berkshire.
Alexandra Place (Woodley) is a purpose-built building of 64 high quality one and two bedroom apartments, situated in Woodley. The site is for older people aged over 55, a small proportion of whom may have been diagnosed with a form of dementia.
Beeches Manor (Wokingham) is a modern two-storey building, with a purpose-built Extra Care Service ground floor consisting of 18 apartments, situated in Wokingham. The site is for older people aged over 55. The residents are people who have been diagnosed with dementia.
Fosters (Woodley) is a new two-storey building set in a pleasant residential area close to local amenities. A post office, shops, a doctors' surgery and restaurants are all within walking distance. The site is for older people aged over 55. This Extra Care Service includes 34 self-contained apartments and has been designed to be dementia friendly. The scheme is designed with designated wheelchair accessible apartments including adjustable height kitchens. All apartments have their own balcony or private terrace. The Birches (Woodley) is an Extra Care Scheme made up of 60 one and two bedroom apartments which give residents the freedom to live independently. Benefitting from an on-site cafe, hair salon, community lounge and other communal facilities, it is an ideal place for older people over 55 looking for both comfort and convenience.
