Optalis is looking for flexible Support Workers to join their Mokattam service; a 6 room residential house for working age adults living with learning and/or physical disabilities based in Maidenhead. We are looking for flexible staff that can cover full-time, part-time and casual hours providing person-centred care to the individuals living in the house. The main duties within the house will be to assist with domestic and personal tasks, promote a healthy life style to the individuals you work with and to provide support to access the community/activities outside the house. The working shifts are usually 7am – 3pm or 2pm-10pm, with some waking nights available. This role requires someone who holds a full, clean UK driving license and is prepared to drive on company business and able to drive a manual vehicle.

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic support workers to work in our unique Independent Living Service (ILS) supporting people with Learning Disabilities who live in their own home. We have services in Wokingham, Winnersh and Ryeish Green. For this role you need to be a car driver with use of a vehicle, and some houses have a manual transmission ‘house vehicle’ which you may be required to drive. As ILS is a very diverse service, for the right candidate, we may consider a non-care driver for an exceptional candidate. You need to be creative especially in the use public transport in order to support our customers with their daily needs. The hours for this role can vary depending on the customers care packages, but tend to start from 7am-3pm or 3pm-10pm (full-time support workers will have to be available for at least one sleep in every 7-10days, depending on the service). You will receive a comprehensive induction and on-going training programme, as well as regular supervision to ensure you are fully equipped to support our customers. You will also have the support of a Registered Manager and large staff team including Deputy Managers and Senior Support Workers. The Governance and Quality Assurance Service combine a number of functions relating to Management Information, Performance Monitoring and Reporting, Safeguarding, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Quality Monitoring for Internal and External Services, Project Management and Business Support to offer assurance, direction and guidance to the wider statutory teams and functions across the Optalis Services.

Quality and governance improvement is achieved by setting high standards through scrutiny, direction and support, driving a continuous learning cycle, which supports the organisation in its pursuit of excellence.

We are looking to recruit to a key post in that team to be a Quality Lead for Internal Services. The successful candidate will have experience as a CQC registered manager and have recent experience of managing a registered care home or a domiciliary care team.

The key functions of the role will be in carrying out quality assurance audits and programmes alongside the registered managers to ensure services are targeted at achieving good or above in an inspection. There will also be a role in quality assuring processes and submissions such as new applications or continuous action plans or statement of purpose to ensure consistency across the whole service.

There will be a need to have the ability to write reports, submit data returns and analyse returns to highlight risk and consider preventative action.

The post holder will report to the Head of Governance and Quality Assurance but will also work closely with the Head of Provider Services.

In addition to have the ability to represent the business at internal and external meetings and seminars and to engage with management information staff at other local authorities to share experience and expertise.

The post holder will report to the Head of Governance and Quality Assurance but will also work closely with the other Heads of Service and Senior Management Team to ensure key business intelligence is at the heart of the business.

You will be responsible for helping to develop and ensure regular updating of person centred care plans, supporting customers, audits, competency checks, attending meetings, supporting with rota management and providing an on-call service.

As part of the Senior Support Worker role, you will provide a valuable modelling and coaching role to all care workers. You will be a part of a team whose focus is that of the customer’s needs, wishes and promoting independence!

The Short Term Support and Rehab (STR&R) service provides this unique service via Optalis and in partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council. We are looking for RCA’s to deliver both care and rehabilitation across the borough.

You will provide personal care, assistance with transfers, manual handling and mobility support, supervise clients whilst they complete a set rehabilitation programme and encourage independence in activities of daily living (ADL). We will ensure that you are trained to deliver the care and rehabilitation needed. You will be supervised by our Coordinators and will be part of our RCA team. These posts form part of our care rota so it is essential that you can work  a mixed  shift pattern of both early and late shifts  including  alternate  weekends and bank holidays,.
